KerberRose is proud to name Cathryn Siolka as our featured employee for the month of November. Cathryn began her time with KerberRose as a Human Resources Intern two years ago, and has operated as a full-time Human Resources Generalist for the last six months. She graduated from St. Norbert College in May 2019 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration and a concentration in Human Resource Management.

Although relatively new in her career, Cathryn has accumulated a number of impressive academic and professional accomplishments. She graduated Summa Cum Laude in just three years, and was a two-time William E. Dargan fellow at St. Norbert – an honor given to only three or four Business Professional students annually. Cathryn also had the opportunity to take the lead on significant projects at KerberRose, and currently leads recruiting efforts throughout the Firm.

“KerberRose has provided so many opportunities for me to grow and learn alongside my co-workers,” Cathryn commented. She also utilizes her personable attitude to help grow the Firm. “Over the past few years, I have continuously worked to improve my networking skills, which has assisted in bringing new employees into the Firm.”

As Cathryn settles into her permanent role, she looks forward to taking on new responsibilities. She has recently taken over benefits enrollment for the Firm, and assists with other HR duties such as tracking the Continued Professional Education (CPE) of our CPAs, assisting with performance reviews, and planning and attending Firm events. Later this year, she will also take an exam to become a Certified Professional of the Society of Human Resource Management (SHRM-CP), which upon passing, will be a major milestone in her emerging career.

Cathryn enjoys her job with KerberRose because she values the personal, hometown feel of our culture. Cathryn explained, “The Firm and management have always understood flexibility and the importance of work/life balance. It is refreshing to know every staff member, and have them recognize me in any of our office locations.”

When Cathryn is not recruiting or interviewing candidates, she enjoys spending time with family, particularly her nieces and nephews. She also enjoys reading and being active in the community through her involvement with Current Young Professionals and SHRM. What Cathryn really enjoys, though, is watching high school wrestling; this February will be her 17th year

Connect with Cathryn today on LinkedIn.in attendance at the State Wrestling Tournament in Madison, Wisconsin. Cathryn’s mantra is to “Create the life you want to wake up to,” and she clearly applies this to both her personal and professional life.
